Pharmepa STEP 2: MAINTAIN combines 80% EPA omega-3 fish oil, vitamin D,3, B5 and E with GLA omega-6 from organic virgin evening primrose oil. This product balances and maintains the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio and is suitable for long-term use after supplementing with pure EPA fish oil. Alternatively, long-term users of omega-3 fish oil supplements may skip step 1 and take step 2 as a maintenance supplement. EPA is a long-chain omega-3 fatty acid with several important roles in the body. It helps to maintain healthy cell signalling and cognitive function; it is also converted by the body into substances which support cardiovascular health, inflammatory response and normal immune function. Evening primrose oil is a rich source of the omega-6 fatty acid GLA. GLA is an integral part of cell membranes, helping to keep them permeable for optimum brain function, as well as being a precursor to beneficial substances that support immune and inflammation regulation. Cold-pressed organic evening primrose oil is a botanical source of phytonutrients and triterpenes, which help to mop up free radicals in the body.

Adults and children aged twelve years and over should take 2-4 capsules daily
Children aged four to twelve years should take 1 capsule daily.

It is not advisable to exceed the above dose unless advised by a healthcare practitioner. For optimum absorption, Pharmepa STEP 2: MAINTAIN should preferably be taken with food.
