Harvested from wild frankincense, our North African Frankincense is produced by distillation of the superior Carterii gum resin that you have seen used in incense and for religious ceremonies. Frankincense has been used for thousands of years in various ancient cultures such as the Chinas, Egyptian and Indians who realise the benefits and powers of this product. Its odour is warm with a slight peppery top note, sweet and woody middle notes and a warm resinous base note. Frankincense oil can be used in lotions, creams, massage oils, flower waters, vaporisers, inhalations and in the bath. In Aromatherapy it is recommended in skin care, to enhance the general complexion and especially for wrinkles and dry skin.

For use in perfume blends or for aromatherapy. Apply topically, as a compress, in the bath, directly inhale, or diffuse. May occasionally cause an adverse reaction, please carry out a patch test if you are unsure.
