Green Origins Organic Raw Maca Powder is a wholefood made from the root and lower stem of Lepidium Meyenii, a plant that grows at high altitude (over 4000m) in the Peruvian Andes. Maca is prized for its high concentrations of minerals such as magnesium, iron, calcium and selenium. It has been a central part of the Peruvian diet for centuries and is also thought to provide a rich source of protein, carbohydrate and dietary fibre.

Green Origins Organic Raw Maca Powder is a yellow-gold variety, which is dried naturally in the open air for three months. before being milled into powder. The dried Maca roots are then cleaned and broken into small pieces, which are milled in to powder.
