Clearspring organic oils are made from the highest quality organic ingredients, which are cold pressed without chemicals to ensure the best nutrition and flavour. This is very different to large scale and higher yielding conventional corn oil extraction where solvents are widely used as well as alkali treatments.

Corn germ oil, also known as maize oil, is a very versatile culinary oil extracted from the germ of corn. Delicious savoury flavour is reminiscent of the sweet corn it is extracted from as well as popcorn and fresh corn bread.

Its main use is in high temperature cooking where its high smoke point makes this a very useful and valuable oil. Maximum heating temperature is 100°C, so it can be used for stir-frying but not for deep-frying. Ideal for salad dressings, sauces and drizzled over warm dishes prior to serving.
