Organic Dried Shiitake mushrooms are a great way for incorporating highly nutritious food into your cooking. Shiitake is a mushroom rich in minerals including iron, calcium, zinc, vitamins E, group B vitamins and provitamin D. It also contains unsaturated fatty acids and Lentin (an anti-tumor polysaccharide) and is considered an aphrodisiac. It can be prepared in risottos, as tempura and sautée.
This mushroom is one of the most consumed by vegetarians and vegans due to its high vegetable protein content and B group vitamin content, especially B12.

To cook these mushrooms, you just need to rehydrate them, 12-24 hours before they are prepared. Depending on the chosen recipe, you can use water, stock, milk or beer. After opening the bag keep mushrooms in an airtight container in the fridge. Try Shiitake in risotto, tempura or sautéed with red meat. This product is considered to be raw as it has been dried at room temperature (always under 40 ºC).
